Review of Survey List Site

I saw an ad in a rural newspaper for Earn By The Hour and was intrigued because of the personal slant of the ad. The owner maintaions the site with her daughter and that seemed unusual. I decided to check it out and find out more.

Earn By The Hour charged 29.95 for a list of paid survey sites and pay per click sites. Most of these are the same ones that every other paid list business offers, but there are a few that are not on other lists and it seems to be updated regularly, unlike some of the list sites. There are mostly cash and prize rewards offered at the surveys but some are cash only. In summary:

Value for list: FAIR (Other survey lists sites have more sites listed but don't update as regularly)
Worth Buying List? Yes if you haven't already signed up at many paid survey sites. They have some that are not easy to find and they do update lists. If you have already found survey sites on your own searches, you might be disappointed at buying this. Many of the sites can easily be found by searching for no cost.

My views on pay per click are that they are not worth the time it takes to do the work. You can spend hours and hours clicking and make less than a dollar. The main way people ever make money in pay per click is through referrals. If you have the means to generate referrals, either through marketing or through a massive social network of friends who want to click for pennies, go for it. If you're going to click just on your own, don't waste your time. You would make more in less time by doing one survey for a cash paying site.
