Emailed Opportunities
We all get them, the emails that promise us some wonderful new business idea where we can make money online. Most of them get deleted instantly, but the ones that catch your attention, look at carefully. There are some great ways to make money online and you may find something valuable to try out in your inbox, but caution is always recommended.
I have had one that was “processing domain names” recently. Always the cynic, I looked up possible scams in domain name registry and found there can be a problem with domain registry work.
Some of these companies send fake expiry notices to customers that have a registered domain name. They claim the customer needs to renew the name and they charge them at a high cost to do so. The customer has no idea that they are actually transferring hosting services. Once they have sent payment, the transfer can go through without further confirmation from the customer. This is an underhanded way to get customers and in some cases, the domains were not valid. Whether the company sending out emails for “processing domain names” is doing this is not determined yet, but it certainly sends out some red flags. Be aware that there are companies that operate in the switch and sell realm of domain names, and it is not an honest way of doing business.
That is just one case of suspicious businesses that send out emails. I’ve also received about five emails for “rebate processing” positions. These also are deceptive in that they don’t let you know exactly what you are processing and the cost to you to advertise the rebates. These positions rarely make anyone any money and end up costing the person wanting to make money.
Check carefully what is being offered to you and how much they tell you when you look at an inbox opportunity email. If it seems unrealistic, there is a reason. Don’t get conned by big money guarantees, the guys who really are making money are at the top.

Clear Surveys, this is to buy a list of paying survey sites. I used it (although I didn’t sign up with every business listed) and regularly get about five survey invites a day. I found it less time consuming to get the list rather than do searches myself. If you would rather, you can also find paying survey sites on the Internet without paying anything, but you may miss some of the higher paying sites.

Mystery Shopping, I personally signed up with Shadow Shopper and tested it out. I had more than ten opportunities a day to pick from and made money within my first few weeks. Most of the communication is done online, the actual shops are located in an area nearby that you can choose. I also got invitations for part-time merchandising work that was for regular pay.
